Strategic Adversarial Multiagent Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the world. Traditionally, AI and "big data" have been applied to settings with a single agent, typically based on identifying current trends in a dataset. However many realistic situations have Multiple potentially Adversarial agents behaving Strategically. The future of AI will study settings where agents possess private information that is not available to other agents, and sequential actions.  It will integrate quantitative and qualitative reasoning, with an emphasis on producing human understandable solutions. It will integrate game-theoretic reasoning with "big data" approaches to develop robust agents  that capitalize on data when it is available, but are not overly tuned to the latest trend and will stand the test of time. The lab typically publishes at the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI), the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS), and the Conference on Economics and Computation (EC).
